Tactile Object, Natural, 2022 Jun-Su Kim is using his leather craft technique with tanned leather for his sculpture like work. The understanding of the artwork by the general audience at the gallery probably depends on their perspective to observe it. His ‘Tactile Object, Natural (2022)’ unravels the shape of the bag which makes the audience engaging to tactile experience. Through this experience, it allows the audience to understand the work using not only their eyes but also various senses and it becomes an amplifying agent that leads to a variety of senses beyond a simple visual experience.

Artist Biography Artist Jun-Su Kim has been working on moulding, focusing on the materiality and symbolism of vegetable-tanned leather. He studied metal crafts and jewelry at Kookmin University in South Korea. In addition, his career has continued various exhibition activities in South Korea and Europe since participating in Italy's leather workshop. He was the co-winning the 2019 Cheongju Craft Biennale in South Korea and was selected as a finalist in the Loewe Craft Awards contest in 2022.
